Cool Clean – Research & Development

Cool Clean Technologies’ Research and Development department is staffed with PhDs, Engineers & Chemists that work to create products in the company’s three core areas:

CO₂ Cleaning: As finer electronics are produced, the need for improved cleaning systems is becoming more important. Water molecules are too large to effectively clean components with micro-sized structures, while recycled CO₂ has the ability to easily flow into micro-crevasses.

CO₂ Coolant : Most machine operators will tell you that they do not like flood type machining coolants (e.g., cutting fluid) due to the mess, smell, and required cleanup. Cool Clean’s patented CO₂ machine coolant (ChilAire™) solves these issues. In this area we develop technology focused on various machining applications (such as composite drilling, plastic machining, dry machining and many more) as well as adaptations to machine tools.

CO₂ Extraction: Cool Clean is dedicated to environmentally friendly extraction systems for Selective Extraction:

• Silicone Extraction-Outgassing
• Biofuel Extraction
• Essential Oils Extraction

At Cool Clean Technologies, we utilize state-of-the-art research & development (R&D) software and technologies in our in-house labs that are capable of component and substrate evaluations for both cleaning and cooling efficacy.
