Jon P. Wikstrom – Chairman and CEO/President
Mr. Wikstrom founded Cool Clean Technologies, in 2001. Prior to starting Cool Clean, Mr. Wikstrom worked 12 years in senior and executive management positions with Chart Industries, Inc.-formerly Minnesota Valley Engineering (MVE). Mr. Wikstrom was appointed President of Chart Applied Technologies in 1999 and grew sales from $55 million to nearly $100 million.
In previous positions with Chart, Mr. Wikstrom directed new product development and technology programs, as well as holding the positions of Director of Marketing and Engineering.
Prior to joining Chart, Mr. Wikstrom held positions in the U.S. government stationed at the Pentagon, Andrews Air Force Base, and in Boston with responsibilities including the Chief of the Air Defense Electronics Division, Program Manager for Special Surveillance Sensors, and Financial Manager of the Air Defense Initiative.
Mr. Wikstrom is a Retired Major in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and holds B.S. degrees in Engineering and Economics from the U.S. Air Force Academy, a M.B.A. degree with a concentration in Finance and awarded with honors from Boston University.
Dan Schiller – COO/CFO and Director
Prior to joining Cool Clean in 2001, Mr. Schiller was the Director of Development at BMC Industries, a $325 million company engaged in the manufacturing of high volume, precision chemically etched products for the high-tech, medical, defense, and aerospace industries.
While at BMC, he founded two new etching/plating technology ventures in the transportation and medical fields.
Prior to BMC, he was President of Shellair Industries, an environmental test chamber manufacturing company that provided systems for HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Test) and HASS (High Accelerated Stress Screening) of electro-mechanical devices.
Mr. Schiller has nine years of technical and manufacturing experience with 3M Company, where he was the named inventor on several 3M-process patents.
Mr. Schiller holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Dakota and a M.B.A. degree with a concentration in Finance from the University of St. Thomas, Minnesota.
Jon Turner – V.P. of Product Development
Prior to joining Cool Clean at its founding, Mr. Turner was with Chart Industries, Inc. (formerly MVE) for eight years and was responsible for product development activities in the CO2 Cleaning Division, and was the key inventor in the development of Chart’s CO2 cleaning technology patents.
Prior to joining Chart, he served for seven years with the Super Conducting/Super Collider project, where he was responsible for various super conducing magnet designs.
Mr. Turner is a named author on more than twenty scientific publications, holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, and a M.S. degree in Management of Technology from the University of Minnesota.
Nelson W. Sorbo, Ph.D., Vice President – Applications Development
Dr. Sorbo is in charge of all aspects of applications development for CCT’s precision cleaning and surface treatment technologies. Dr. Sorbo has over 25 years of experience in a wide range of research, product development and program management in many technical areas. At Cool Clean, Dr. Sorbo has directed the development, manufacturing, installation and service of numerous precision cleaning systems that have been delivered and installed worldwide. These systems include automated cleaning cells, cleaning modules both mobile and desktop, high-pressure gas delivery and purification systems, and high-pressure dense fluid centrifugal cleaning systems. He routinely works with customers to develop cleaning/surface treatment applications for their specific needs.
While at Raytheon/Hughes, he has served as engineering manager and project engineer on the CO2 dense phase technology development program. His duties have included coordinating and conducting training of licensees, serving as design engineer for new dense phase technologies, developing Intellectual Property, and conducting process performance evaluations and redesign. These CO2 – based cleaning technologies include the development of systems for garment cleaning, degreasing, precision cleaning, and sterilization. He was also involved in supporting the technology commercialization of a plasma-based emission control systems, developing the demonstration program scope and budget, determining the system requirements, and assisting in conducting performance tests.
Dr. Sorbo has 14 patents and has received his B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Redlands. Dr. Sorbo also received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Environmental Engineering from the University of California at Davis.
Terry Brown – Vice President of Sales
As Vice President of Sales at Cool Clean Technologies, Terry Brown directs and manages the sales division. Responsibilities include developing and implementing sales strategies, which are consistent with the manufacturing industry and to promote sales with a well-defined sales structure.
He brings 25 plus years of sales and marketing experience from the medical device manufacturing industry, which consisted primarily of start-up organizations. This has given him the unique tools, which will position Cool Clean Technologies for growth and a strong presence in the manufacturing and machining market.
Prior to joining Cool Clean, Terry was U.S. Director of Sales for Sybaritic Medical and President of The Laser & Cosmetic Centers. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Capella University, attended St. Cloud State University, and has a Masters in Medical Technology Management from the University of St. Thomas.
